妻から聞いた話です。
１か月ぐらい前に中２むすこが２mmバリカンでボウズにしてきました。
そのボウズ姿を「むすこが待ち受けにしてる！」と言うあるお母さんから聞いてきました。
そのお母さんが言うには「可愛くていい！」「時計の部分が頭のところでちょうど良い感じ」なんだそうです。
「な、なんで？」
確かにむすこがボウズにしてきたのは、他には無くて意外性があって、かなりインパクトあったとぼくも思います。
地肌が青かったのもまた良い。
今どき、ボウズやスポーツ刈りを校則や規則で強制させる中学校・高等学校・そしてその部活なんかは虐待の域に触れてしまうので、あんな短髪にしてる子なんかはこの東京どこ行ってもほとんど見かけなくなりました。
ボウズの子がいたとしても自分の意志が大きいところかと思います。
それだけに、同級生やクラブのチームメイトの目には珍しいものと写ったことでしょう。
「人様の御子息をおもちゃにするんじゃない！」と冗談で思ったりしましたが、珍しいだけじゃなくて、こんな１か月ちょい待ち受けにしてくれてるなんて、それだけ愛されているそんな証なんじゃないかな？と良い方向に考えております。
「で、他にも待ち受けにしてる子いるの？」と聞くと
「６人いる」
「女子もいるの？」
「いや、女子はいない。」
そうか、学校にはスマホもっていけないから、クラブチームだな。
女子はいるわけ無い。
それにしても、６人か・・・・笑える。
「他にボウズ刈り伝染してない？」
「それはいない。」
「天然少年インフルエンサー」的な存在のむすこが2mmボウズにしても他の子はさすがにしていないようです。
そこはちょっと残念。
むすこの方はそんなつもりでボウズにしたわけじゃないのでそれは仕方ない。
最初にボウズにして１か月以上経っていますので、そろそろ目立たなくなってきました。
「散髪行くの？」
「おー、夏休み中にまた２mmにしてくるよ。」
また、ボウズね。
暑い夏はボウズで乗り越えるむすこです。
Buzz Cut Wallpaper
This is a story I heard from my wife.
About a month ago, our second-year junior high school son gave himself a buzz cut with a 2mm clipper.
An acquaintance of my wife mentioned that her son had made a wallpaper out of a photo of our son with his buzz cut.
This mother said, “It’s cute!” and “The clock part fits perfectly on his head.”
“Why?”
Indeed, when my son gave himself a buzz cut, it was quite unexpected and impactful. I thought the same. The blue tint of his scalp was also nice.
Nowadays, schools and clubs that force students to have buzz cuts or very short haircuts as part of their rules are considered abusive. You hardly ever see kids with such short haircuts anywhere in Tokyo anymore.
If there are any kids with buzz cuts, it’s likely because they chose to do so.
Because of that, it must have seemed unusual to his classmates and club teammates.
Although I jokingly thought, “Don’t turn someone’s child into a plaything,” it’s not just because it’s unusual; the fact that he’s kept it as his wallpaper for over a month shows how much he’s loved. That’s how I see it positively.
When I asked, “Are there other kids who have it as their wallpaper?” he said,
“Six kids.”
“Are there any girls?”
“No, no girls.”
Well, since they can’t bring their smartphones to school, it must be his club teammates. No girls, obviously.
Still, six kids… that’s funny.
“Is the buzz cut trend spreading?”
“No, it’s not.”
Even though my son, a sort of “natural young influencer,” got a 2mm buzz cut, no other kids seem to be following his lead. That’s a bit disappointing. My son didn’t get a buzz cut to start a trend, so it can’t be helped.
It’s been over a month since he first got his buzz cut, so it’s not as noticeable now.
“Are you going for another haircut?”
“Yeah, I’ll get it down to 2mm again during summer vacation.”
Another buzz cut, huh? My son is going to get through the hot summer with his buzz cut.
